Terms of Service

These terms apply when you use Gotcha.gift, whether you create puzzles or play one someone sent you. By using the site you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.
What Gotcha.gift is
A tool that turns a photo and a message into a jigsaw puzzle you can share as a link. The recipient solves the puzzle to reveal the photo and read your message. The basic service is free. We may offer paid features; their price and terms will be shown before you buy.
Your content
You keep ownership of the photos and words you upload. You give us permission to store them, cut the photo into puzzle pieces, and display the result to anyone who opens the link, which is what the service needs to work. That permission ends when the puzzle is deleted, except for backup copies that are removed on their normal schedule.
You are responsible for what you upload. Only upload photos you have the right to use, and make sure the people in them are fine with being shared this way.
What you may not do
- Upload content that is illegal, sexually explicit, hateful, harassing, or that violates someone else's rights or privacy.
- Use the service to deceive, scam, or spam people.
- Try to break, overload, or reverse engineer the service, or access data that is not yours.
- Use automated tools to create puzzles or upload files in bulk without our permission.
We may remove content or close accounts that break these rules, and we may report illegal content to the authorities.
Sharing and privacy of links
Puzzle links are unlisted but not private. Anyone who has a link can open it, play the puzzle, and see the photo and message. Share links only with the people you want to see them. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle your data.
Availability and changes
We work to keep the service running, but it is provided as is, without warranties. We may change or discontinue features, and we may set limits on file sizes, puzzle counts, or storage. If we ever shut down, we will try to give notice so you can save what matters to you.
Liability
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for lost content, arising from your use of the service. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, or ten euros if you paid nothing.
Ending your use
You can stop using Gotcha.gift at any time and ask us to delete your account and puzzles. We may suspend or end access for accounts that violate these terms.
Changes to these terms
If we make significant changes we will update the date above and, for account holders, say so in the app. Continued use after a change means you accept the new terms.
